Whiriskey Refrigeration was set up in the early seventies and has progressed to become one of the largest refrigeration and air conditioning companies in Ireland. We have built our reputation on providing complete industry services, including design, installation, service and maintenance of air conditioning systems as well as commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment, to meet our clients individual requirements. We are also an F-Gas registered company with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and all our employees have obtained city and guilds 2079.

We successfully obtained the ISO 9000 Quality Mark in 1994. The ISO 9000 gives the customer peace of mind and confidence that all work is carried out to exacting standards.

All products purchased for the home market are sourced directly from manufacturers thus ensuring best prices, reduced delivery times and direct contacts when requiring spare parts.

  • What brand Air Conditioning units does Whiriskey Refrigeration supply?
    For over 30 years we at Whiriskey’s have had an excellent relationship as an authorised business partner with Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning. As a Mitsubishi Electric business partner we guarantee you quality products with an after-sales service we pride ourselves on, delivered by our team of qualified service technicians who are trained to the highest standard. Due to our long-standing relationship we are able to offer a 5 year warranty on all Mitsubishi air conditioning products. This is testament to the confidence we have in this product.
  • Does Whiriskey Refrigeration travel nationwide?
    Yes, we have supplied and installed air conditioning and ventilation heat recovery systems in many shops, bars, nightclubs, supermarkets, hotels, factories, offices, data rooms, comms rooms and large multinationals throughout Galway, Mayo,Sligo, Donegal, Leitrim, Westmeath, Meath, Louth, Clare and Roscommon and many more!
  • Does Whiriskey Refrigeration provide a maintenance service?
    Yes, Preventative Maintenance Contracts can be tailor made to suit all requirements from a single air conditioning unit to complete facilities combining refrigeration and air conditioning such as supermarkets. We provide preventative maintenance contracts to many companies so as to ensure their air conditioning and refrigeration are maintained correctly. We have found that this reduces emergency call out to your plant throughout the year and also ensures your equipment is running efficiently. As part of your maintenance contract we are also happy to perform a leak test on your equipment to ensure you are F-Gas compliant.
  • What is F-Gas?
    F-gas is a common abbreviation for the term fluorinated gases. These are the greenhouse gases (HFC’s)which are commonly found within air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration equipment.
  • We have equipment with R22 in it, can you help?"
    If your equipment contains R22 and is still functioning as required you do not have to remove it immediately. However you should have regular leak checks to ensure it is within a sealed system and routine maintenance to help with efficiency. Whiriskey Refrigeration recommend that you consider replacing this equipment as part of your buildings development. Be aware that system components and R22 are no longer available so the event of an equipment failure is likely to mean the end of its life.
  • Do air conditioning systems heat?
    Yes, nearly all comfort cooling systems heat as well as cool. Utilising this source of heating is very efficient and compares extremely well against gas burners or electric heaters.
  • Do we offer an emergency call-out?
    Yes, Whiriskey Refrigeration offer a 24 hr call-out service.
